1:00 to 5:00    Pre-Conference Leadership Training (4 hours of training)
        Part 1:    Advocacy & Family Child Care:  Share the Journey
                          by Vicki Thrasher Cronin, Ready 4 K
Advocacy and family child care providers are partners in a journey to improve the world of Minnesota's children.  Vicki will share tips on how to be successful with your advocacy.

        Part 2:    Building Blocks of Leadership:  Strategies to strengthen your association.
                          by Pat Miller
Learn strategic ways to strengthen your association, increase and retain membership, and attract new leadership ideas and members.  This is a continuation of Ms Miller's 2003 Leadership workshop.

6:00 to 11:00   Take a stroll to the Hospitality Room
Sponsored by Roxy's Food & Crafts, the Hospitality Suite take you on a stroll through the 50's with music, games, free food, and fun.  Drawings for free craft packages, curriculum, kindermats, cases of crackers and cookies, and gift certificates will be held every 1/2 hour. (Must be present to win.)  All honorees that visit the Hospitality Suite will receive a gift.  All Roxy's customers that visit will receive a gift also.

6:00 to 7:30    Conference Registration

8:00 pm          MLFCCCA Board of Directors Meeting (Quarterly Full Board Meeting)
                     Installation of new officers and general business
                     All MLFCCA members are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Saturday, October 15th, 2005 - Conference

7:00 am            Registration, Breakfast, Vendor Shopping

7:30 am            Welcome, Announcements, Board & Staff Recognition

8:00 am            Keynote:
 Raising Nonviolent Children in a Violent World (1.5 hours training)

9:30 am            Break & Vendor Shopping

10:00 am          Session I  (1.5 hours training)
                            A children's session is provided while parents attend the Methamphetamine session.
                            Please register the children, who must be  at least 3 years old.

11:30 am          Break & Shopping

12:00 noon        Luncheon begins

12:30 pm          Presentation of Child Care Advocate of the Year Award

1:00 pm            Session II  (1.5 hours training)

2:30 pm            Break & Last Vendor Shopping

3:00 pm            Session III  (1.5 hours training)

4:30 pm            Conference Ends

Saturday evening, October 15th, 2005 - Recognition Banquet

5:30 pm            Provider of the Year Honoree Reception
                       Honorees receive corsages from the greeters.

6:30 pm            Banquet serving begins.

7:30 pm            Keynote:
 Vicky Emerson  With her storytelling, humor, and musical abilities; Vicky will engage us in a thoroughly entertaining and uplifting evening.
