Breakout Session 1
Musical Experience - Mr. Jim Schattauer will provide an entertaining breakout session. Innovative strategies, humorous anecdotes and kid tested tunes are woven together for a presentation that is both enlightening and entertaining. You will learn fun and creative ways to teach songs to young children along with musical activities guaranteed to brighten their day. Mister Jim shares his insights in how to create a musical experience that nurtures children - body and soul!
Are You Eager To Learn- Judy Lindman Eager-to-Learn is quality training delivered to your home via the internet. Part of Minnesota CCR&R Network, ETL consists of numerous training modules that can be completed in the comfort of your own home. Attend this class to learn more about Eager-to-Learn.
Bridging Education and Mental Health (part 1) - Christopher Watson & Judy Swanson will help you understand and be able to address the full range of social and emotional needs in young children. First half of a two session class.
Personal Coaching: Creating Happiness In Your Life - Julie Mohlis. When is there time for you? What makes you happy? This session will give you the introduction to life coaching and how it can help you.

Culturally responsive Child Care - Janelle Burton will offer culturally appropriate Ojibwe curriculum, rich with traditional values, language, activities and resources. Participants will explore aspects of culture and its impact on relationships.

MLFCCA Trainer/Mentor Boot Camp - Beth Mork & Deloris Friske. This Class is designed to refresh and enhance your training skills and readjust your mentor skills to fit our "Essential Elements" class participants' needs. Information and resources will be shared by trainers currently training the "Essential Elements" classes. Pre-registration is required for this class (please mark on your registration form). Pre-conference packets will be sent out to each trainer registered.

Small Group Time—What is That? - Linda Ruesch, Director of Children’s Way Preschool and Barbara Wigstadt, Director of TLC Early Learning Center will answer questions about how to plan for small group time and what activities to do. They will give specific ideas to make your small group time exciting and successful

“They’re Here... Now What” Craft Activities - Aloha Davis, early childhood trainer. A craft training covering the season and holidays of Spring. See 50 to 60 crafts with handouts and instructions for projects and recipes to use in your own home.
